The story teller

Welcome to my personal blog/ site,

My full name is Anh Viet Vuong. You can call me Anh for short.

I am 20 years old (2018), I come from Vietnam, but I am currently studying my first year at Deakin University, Australia. I’m doing Bachelor of Information and Technology and my major is application development.

About my personalities, I will use three words to describe myself: outgoing, enthusiastic, and smart. I am a sociable person, I love to get to know new people since it helps me learn life experiences, new cultures, etc. When you work or play with me, you will see that I am quite energetic. I often support crazy and fresh ideas, and I always try my best in completing mostly everything. Lastly, I can convince (at least to myself) many people I have met about my problem solving/ thinking skills. I don’t usually have lots of struggle in studying or working, though sometimes I could get a bit absentminded (everybody does).

Does that make me suit IT, or vice versa?

Yes, of course. People often ask: “What do you want to do when you grow up?”.  For me, I desire to be a creator,  like those inventors who invent cars or architects that blueprint houses, I want to create new and useful things with my intellectual and creativity. Also, I have always been attracted by all the latest technologies, such as games, smartphone apps, or computer hardware. Thus, when I combine both of the interests, I had chosen to go after Informatics in high school, and now Information Technology in university.

I love all the aspects of IT since anything could be related to another in a supportive relationship,  so everything should be useful to learn. But for now, I want to first master one – development area.

The first knowledge about IT that I learned is programming and algorithm. These are probably the core skills for any developer, but having them solely does not make you one, yet. There are also other important procedures in developing that I want to learn in the future, such as planning, designing, analysing, testing or maintaining.  These pivotal skills together facilitate transforming the idea and the creativity that I want to express into qualified products, which are reliable and helpful to other people.

One other aspect which could have an impactful effect on developing applications is the analysis of information and data. I am quite intrigued by this area as well, for it is the foundation of product designing and decision making. In other words, most applications making process should be initiated by the information, data and insight showing why the application should me created or how it should be implemented to satisfy the customer/ the audience. Therefore, I appreciately weight data analysing as another important knowledge where I need to dig deeper into.

That is all for now. I would definite put more effort to thrive my story as an ITist.
